Requirements:

Your primary role as a content writer will be to help us create high-quality, high performing Blog Content. We operate on a monthly production cycle. This means you’ll be assigned an account and write for that customer month over month. The amount of accounts we assign you would be based on the quality you produce and the amount of time you have available.

All of our accounts start out with a one-time blog post that we provide to our customers for free, which we’ll also compensate you for. We can talk to you a little bit more about how our free sample post process works if we get further along into the interview process.

For each blog post, you are required to do the following:

– Assist with the Ideation Process
– Create High-Quality EPIC Blog Content (we aren’t interested in fluff)
– Source Images for the Post and Make It Visually Appealing (royalty-free images or screenshots, charts, graphs, etc.)
– Cite High-Authority Sites and Influencers Specific to the Content
– Write with Industry Knowledge

Compensation and Deliverables:

Each customer account will vary in the quantity of posts as well as their length. Our process and deliverables, however, will always stay the same.

We pay at a rate of $0.12 per word to all of our content writers. The average length of a blog post is about 1,000 words; on an average account, you could expect to make about $120-360 per month. We will assign you more accounts if you are able to take on more work.

Here is exactly the type of person we are looking for:

Responds well to criticism and feedback.  Sometimes the customer or our internal editing team is going to beat you up. You need to be able to look at that objectively and handle it like an adult. If you let your emotions get in the way of achieving the desired end result, you are not a good fit for our team.

Great communication skills.  Our team and customers expect responses to feedback and revisions as soon as possible. This does not always mean that you need to jump on things right away. We have revision timelines and things in place that provide you with a reasonable amount of time to get things done. That being said, we need to hear from you. Over-communication is preferred. If you’re one of those writers who likes to take an assignment and then not respond to emails for a week, this position is not a good fit for you.

Team player.  You need to work well in teams and act professionally with people. A poor attitude is not going to work for us.

Flexible.  Most of our monthly recurring accounts go very smoothly. That being said, sometimes there is a need for a re-write or a request from the customer to hop on a quick phone call so they can explain to us exactly what they’re trying to achieve with their blog content. Flexibility here is imperative. We don’t have unreasonable expectations, but if every once in a while we have to go above and beyond to satisfy a customer’s needs, we need you to be on the same page with that.

Excellent modern writing skills.  Perhaps this goes without saying, but all of our writers at Content Pros need to be next level in the ways that they think about writing. If you don’t know how to create engaging content that is also visually appealing in terms of the images you source for the post, then you’re not a good fit.

Great at following directions.  We have a very specific process that we need you to follow in terms of how to create blog content for our customers. At times, our customers will have detailed instructions as to what they want their blog content to look like. You need to be great at interpreting and following instructions on all assignments.

Not a generalist.  What are you truly GREAT at writing? We need niche-specific expertise for the content that we create and not someone who says they can “write about everything.”
